Get Your Mits on Some Coldplay Gear

In an interesting PR/charitable event, UK indie band Coldplay are having an “End of Decade” clearout via the online auction house eBay.

Over a period of 13 days, the band are planning to auction off studio equipment used in the making of all 4 of their albums. There’s an auction for each album, and each auction lasts for 10 days, with the last one finishing on 31st December.

All proceeds go to the charity Kids Company.

Love Rock & Roll? Collect Stamps!

OK, so maybe it’s not the most rock and roll of passtimes, but bear with us.

The Royal Mail are to issue a set of 10 1st class stamps commemorating some classic British album covers of the last 40 years.

Highlights include David Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust, Blur’s Parklife, Mike Oldfield’s Tubular Bells and The Clash’s London Calling.

The stamps have also been specially commissioned to allow for a slightly alternative design. Each stamp is designed as a record sleeve, with a vinyl record sticking out the side!

They’re great, and we’ll definitely be trying to get hold of some to go on our wall!
