One of the most underrated rock bands is Steely Dan. In case you haven’t heard of them, Steely Dan is a jazz/rock band with Donald Fagen and Walter Becker as the two core members. They had several hits in the 1970s, including Reelin’ In the Years, Do It Again, and Rikki Don’t Lose That Number. Steely Dan has an extremely unique sound, and the vocals are also incredible. Personally, my favorite song is either My Old School or Reelin’ In the Years. You’ve probably heard Do It Again on your local oldies station too, and while I think it is a great song, it is a tad overplayed though.

All in all, Steely Dan is a FANTASTIC, and highly underrated and unappreciated band. Do yourself a justice and go listen to some of their music. Simply said, it rocks.
