Almost Famous ROCKS

If you are looking for the best possible rock and roll movie out there, I’d have to say Almost Famous is at the very top of the list. It’s about a kid in the late sixties/early seventies that goes on tour with a band called Stillwater to write a Rolling Stone magazine article on them. The band is your ideal rock band, with guitar, drums, singer, etc., and the kid learns a lot about rock and roll when he goes on the tour.

The thing is, he is only like 16 years old, and he goes on tour with Stillwater. and he gets into the life of rock and roll by being offered drugs, losing his virginity, and falling in love. There is also a scene where one of the Stillwater members jumps off a house into a pool, which is thought of to be the best scene in the movie.

Watching this thing made me jealous and I wished I was able to tour with a band like Stillwater. The journalist/teenager (William) is living a great life. His mom is back home going crazy, and his sister left home after high school, but I still think I’d like to be this kid.

Anyways, go rent this movie. It’s one of the best rock and roll movies I’ve ever seen, and I would even recommend it to people that weren’t interested in rock at all. It’s that good.
